  1. We process all the ingredients for the dough by hand in a bowl. We transfer the finished dough to the work mat and divide it into smaller parts.
  2. We form a long roll from the dough, which we cut into smaller pieces. Shape each piece into a small roll with the palms of your hands (sprinkle with flour so they don't stick).
  3. Put the dumplings in boiling salted water and after they float to the surface, boil them for another 5 minutes. We take the cooked dumplings into cold water.
  4. Cover with melted butter, sprinkle with powdered sugar and ground poppy seeds.
Good tip: If you're in the mood for a change, try sprinkling the dumplings with ground nuts, toasted breadcrumbs, or cottage cheese instead of poppy seeds. Each variation adds its own distinctive flavor!
