Storage: Store the vanilla bean in a dry place at a temperature of up to 15°C and a humidity of 70%. Do not store in the refrigerator. With proper storage, it has a minimum shelf life of approx. 12 months at home, but it should last even longer.
Warning: If white oblong crystals precipitate on the body of the pod, this is vanillin and a sign of product quality. If the vanilla pods dry out over time, they can be dipped in warm water for a short time before use to soften the pods again. When handling the teat, do not touch the teat with your fingers without disinfecting it with alcohol.
