
Homemade thick strawberry syrup with Želírka
- 2 kg of strawberries
- 2.5 l of water
- 1 pc Liana Gelírka
- 1 pc Citric acid Liana 20 g
- pinch Sorbic acid Liana
- 3 kg cane or white sugar
1 . Chop the washed strawberries or mix them slightly and put them in a pot with water and citric acid to boil.
2. We then pass it through a sieve. We will get about 3.5 liters of juice. Let it boil in a pot together with Želírka and 2 spoons of sugar. Bring to a boil and pour in the rest of the sugar, which we let dissolve by stirring.
3 . Finally, we add a pinch of sorbic acid j Liana.
4. Pour into clean, preferably glass bottles, close.
5. Store in a dark and cool place.
- our Želírka Liana contains pectin from fruits such as apples and citrus, and these will cause the syrup to thicken.
- similarly, we will prepare syrup from other types of fruit.
- citric acid also serves as a preservative, but it also enhances the color of your syrup.
- sorbic acid is supplied in case your homemade preserves really don't get spoiled by mold.
