Duration: 0:30 (h:m) Portions: 8-12 (pcs)
Plum balls, although sweet, are popular as a main course in Slovakia, while they have become a symbol of home comfort and a kitchen full of family atmosphere. Try our gluten-free plum balls, prepared with Universal mix Liana flour mixture and soft mashed potatoes. After cooking, cover them with fried butter and decorate with Liana cinnamon sugar, or poppy seeds, breadcrumbs or nuts. This classic tastes like grandma's - a sweet lunch that fills you up and takes you back to traditional family recipes passed down from generation to generation.

1. Make a non-sticky dough from mashed potatoes, Universal mix Liana, salt and egg.

2. On a floured work surface, roll out the dough into a sheet. Cut into squares, put a pitted plum into each square, fill with plum jam, wrap and shape into a ball with your palms.

3. Cook in boiling salted water. After the balls float to the surface, let them cook for another 5 minutes and take them out into cold water.

4. Cover with fried butter and sprinkle with powdered and cinnamon sugar. We serve it still warm.

Good tip: If you want to try something new, you can fill the plums with poppy seed or cottage cheese filling instead of plum jam, which will give them an interesting taste. If you don't have plums on hand, other fruits such as apricots, strawberries or raspberries are a great alternative. There are no limits to your imagination - try different combinations and create your favorite variants!
