The beneficial effects of cocoa on our health
Many researches prove that high-quality cocoa can be very useful for our health and body. Contains valuable substances, minerals (magnesium, potassium, iron, calcium) and vitamins (A, B, C, E), which are beneficial against fatigue, heart problems, kidney problems, fever, helps reduce cholesterol or even helps with weight loss .
Cocoa is the basic ingredient of chocolate, but regular chocolate is full of sugar and calories, so you should go for one that contains at least 70% cocoa ! The cocoa tree contains cocoa beans, i.e. the seeds of the fruit of the cocoa tree, which contain a lot of flavonoids (did you know that even more than blueberries?) By regularly consuming dark chocolate, we can reduce cholesterol and, in combination with high-quality cocoa, even lose weight! If you have a sweet tooth, just eat two cubes of high-quality dark chocolate and the sweet tooth is gone.
In addition to dark chocolate, we can directly consume cocoa beans , which support concentration , improve brain activity in seniors, increase blood flow to the brain , induce a feeling of happiness and good mood, relieve premenstrual pain in women, and lower blood pressure. We consume 5-10 whole cocoa beans per day or ground, approx. 15 g per day.
Cocoa can have different shades; from brown, red to black. A good tip for you on how to recognize high-quality cocoa from low-quality is that high-quality cocoa smells aromatic. Cocoa is stored in a dry place with a constant temperature, because it tends to get wet quickly.

COCOA SUBSTITUTE IN THE KITCHEN
As usual, cocoa consumption is not for everyone. People suffering from cocoa allergy should avoid dark chocolate. This also applies to people with histamine intolerance and people with DNA disease. In such cases, we recommend KAROB - a powder made from the fruits of carob or, popularly speaking, from St. John's wort.
The cocoa bean itself has a bitter taste (it also depends on the region where it is grown). With cocoa, the bitter taste is somewhat reduced. If you don't like too bitter a taste, try combining cocoa with ripe bananas in drinks, with coconut or with gluten-free cereals.
COCOA BUTTER
It goes well with drinks, some types of dough or on cakes. It has a high flash point , i.e. it can last up to approximately 200°C. Cocoa butter is also used by pharmaceutical centers for the production of creams, deodorants , and lip balms. It has a beneficial effect on the skin; soothes it, softens it, treats dry skin. Butter begins to melt already at 30°C, so its application is very easy.
